Welcome to Layrd! The terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Layrd. Layrd operates this store and website, including all related information, content, features, tools, products and services in order to provide you with personalised digital skincare guidance (the “Services”). Layrd is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you.

These terms and conditions, together with any policies referenced herein (these “Terms”), describe your rights and responsibilities when using our Services.

Please read these Terms carefully. By visiting or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you should not use or access our Services.

1. ACCESS AND ACCOUNTS
By agreeing to these Terms, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your country of residence. You agree that all information you provide is accurate, complete, and up to date, and that you have the right to provide it. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

2. OUR SERVICES
Layrd provides digital skincare services, including a personalised skincare guide created based on your responses to our online quiz. Any colours, images or illustrations shown on our website are for general reference and illustrative purposes only.

While we use reasonable care, expertise and evidence-based principles in delivering our Services, we cannot guarantee that the results will meet your individual expectations or skincare needs. Descriptions of our Services may be updated or changed at any time without prior notice.

3. DIGITAL ORDERS AND DELIVERY
When you place an order, you are purchasing access to Layrd’s digital skincare Services.

After completing your purchase, you will immediately receive a secure link to complete your personalised skincare quiz. Once submitted, your customised skincare guide will be delivered to you via email within three (3) working days.

By purchasing, you acknowledge and agree that you lose your 14-day statutory right to cancel once we begin delivering the digital Services (i.e., when the quiz is accessed).

4. PRICING AND PAYMENT
All prices are listed in GBP and include VAT (if applicable), unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to change prices or correct errors at any time.

You agree to provide complete and accurate billing information and authorise us to charge the applicable amount to your payment method.

5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content on our site and in our Services, including but not limited to trademarks, images, text, layouts, and branding, belongs to Layrd or our licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from any part of the Services without prior written consent.

6. THIRD-PARTY TOOLS AND LINKS
We may provide access to third-party tools or content (e.g., Shopify, email delivery, analytics). We do not control or endorse these third parties and are not liable for any harm or loss related to their use.

7. PRIVACY
Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which complies with UK GDPR. By using the Services, you consent to the collection and use of your data in accordance with this policy.

8. FEEDBACK
If you submit feedback, testimonials or suggestions, you grant Layrd a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use them for marketing or product development. You confirm you own the rights to any content you submit.

9. RELATIONSHIP WITH SHOPIFY
Layrd is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you. However, any sales and purchases you make in our store are made directly with Layrd. By using the Services, you acknowledge and agree that Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of any sales between you and Layrd, including any injury, damage, or loss resulting from purchased products and services. You hereby expressly release Shopify and its affiliates from all claims, damages, and liabilities arising from or related to your purchases and transactions with Layrd.

10. PROHIBITED USES
You agree not to misuse our Services, including but not limited to:

  • Using the Services for unlawful purposes

  • Attempting unauthorised access

  • Transmitting viruses or malware

  • Harvesting or scraping user data

  • Infringing our intellectual property

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms.

11. TERMINATION
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Services at any time without notice, including if you breach these Terms. You will remain liable for all charges up to the date of termination.

12. CONSUMER RIGHTS & DISCLAIMERS
We are legally required to provide our Services with reasonable care and skill, in line with your rights under UK consumer law.

Our recommendations are tailored to the skin type and concerns you share with us through the skincare quiz. While we aim to provide accurate and helpful guidance, our Services may not be suitable for every individual. The information provided by Layrd is for general skincare guidance only and is not intended to replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.

13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Subject to this, Layrd shall not be liable for:
• any loss of data, profits, or business;
• any outcomes resulting from inaccurate or incomplete quiz responses submitted by you;
• any delays in service delivery caused by email issues or technical failures beyond our control.

14. INDEMNITY
You agree to indemnify Layrd and its affiliates from any claims arising from your misuse of the Services or breach of these Terms.

15. CHANGES TO TERMS
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

16. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
